Importance of Flu Shots and Vaccinations

Trust the experienced staff at locally owned Drs. Woodall, Wilson and Manley LLP for all your flu vaccination needs so that you can be protected against harmful viruses. It's more important than ever before to take care of yourself and your immune system. Get the vaccine as soon as it is available before the flu turns into pneumonia. This should protect if the flu season comes early.

It's also very important to be current with your vaccines so that you can be protected against infectious diseases. We offer a variety of vaccines for all ages. Call us to set up an appointment or use our convenient walk-in policy Monday through Friday.

Protect Yourself Against the Flu

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), flu season can start in October and go until May. The flu vaccine is the best way to reduce the chances of getting the flu and spreading it to others. The flu vaccine can take up to 2 weeks for immunity. We recommend immunization as early as possible to prevent infection and exposure to others.

Get your flu vaccine today to prevent getting the flu and any possible complications related to the flu.

The flu vaccine can:
  • Keep you from getting the flu
  • Make flu less severe if you do get it
  • Keep you from spreading the flu to your family and other people
Wash Those Hands!
Meanwhile, another way to ward off the flu is to continually wash your hands when you can. You should rub your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub. Remember to schedule your flu shot.

Stay Vaccinated and be Ahead of the Curve

We offer many vaccinations in our office. If you are interested in what vaccines you might need depending on your age, this information can be found at the Recommended Adult Immunization Schedule from the CDC.

For people planning to travel internationally, we highly recommend checking the CDC website to see what immunizations you may need to receive before traveling. You can get any vaccinations we do not offer from your local health department.

Immunizations are important to keep your children healthy and help prevent the spread of diseases to other children around them. We strongly recommend all children receive their vaccines according to the prescribed schedule. Give your child a strong future and contact us today to schedule their immunizations.
